"YES" is for me a song that makes listening to the radio worthwhile. If you approach your live performances with as much vocal control as you seem to have on the CDs then your live performance would truly be worth catching. Unfortunately, the scenario in your "Yes" video is a real one in someone's life right now as we read this. I am so thankful that someone thought it worthwhile to express this in a medium that I am sure will help many through the dark times. Music does have a heart, thanks for your beautiful delivery of the song, as well as all of your songs..
Musiq I don't know if you'll ever read this but I am one of your biggest fans. Not in a groupy way. I'm actually happily married and your songs get me through a lot of problems within my marriage... along with a lot of gospel. However, I've always said if I could have one change to meet you it would be the best day of my life. Suprisingly I got that chance one time when you came to Baltimore. I walked miles from Broadway Street to Sound Garden Music store just to see you. The line was so long I never got to tell you how much your music truly means to me. Oh and did I mention I was pregnant walking miles just to get your new CD and an autograph... along with a picture. Musiq I would truly appreciate a day where I could sit down and have just an hour long conversation with you about your background and the inspiration of your music. I have not heard a song that I do not like of yours... Ever! If I could just have the oppurtunity just to meet you and have a brief (does not have to be long at all) conversation with you I would greatly appreciate it. Oh Musiq, I jus adore you, your craft, and your latest MusiqintheMagiq. My all time fave, track #7 "backtowhere", drives me outta my mind as I wrestle through this very sentiment. "Its just not fair...you're close, I'm running"...ooohwee, this track jus gives it to me raw! I keeps it on repeat on the daily! "likethesun" is my mantra in song, b/c you were talking about me when you sang it! (smile) "anything" makes me rock these thick hips, pop my fingaz and smile! My new jam! "silverngold" is like an ode to my bestie, although he and I are having a "halfcrazy"episode at this time. Yea, we went there, b/c we thought we could handle it, and now emotions are raw and rampant. I've been a fan since you started. I even walked past you during your rehearsal for the All-Star game in Philly. You were rehearsing "Something in the Way" (the Beatles song) and I wanted to talk to you then but fear got the best of me. I just wanted some words of wisdom in terms of writing music. I write songs but I don't know how good they are. Any advice?

You really do have a special gift. I love all of your songs...and I Do Mean All Of Them! You have a voice that people can never get tired of hearing and that's so needed with all this other stuff people call music!
